Funeral Services for Claude Thomas “Mike” Presley of Troy, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Mr. Presley, 78, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 28, 2017 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born July 5, 1938 in Foley, MO, he was the son of Noble Sitton and Laura Mae Glore Presley, Sr. Mike was a 1956 graduate of Winfield High School. He was united in marriage on October 17, 1958 in St. Charles, MO to Iris Elma Brown. This union was blessed with four children: Carol Lynette, Thomas Irl, Laura Kay and Douglas Hinton. A lifelong resident of Foley, Mike owned and operated Lincoln Quarry with his brother, Bud, and their father until their retirements in 1997. He was a longtime member of Foley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Laura Presley, Sr.; two sisters: Charlotte Calvin in 1991 and Janet Creech in 2000; one brother, Nobel I. “Bud” Presley in 2005; his beloved wife of 56 years, Iris Presley, who died June 8, 2015.

Survivors include his children: Carol Ballew and her husband, Randy, of Troy, Thomas Presley and his wife, Rachele, of Foley, Laura Coe and her husband, Duane, of Truesdale, MO and Douglas Presley and his significant other, Debi Boyer, of Winfield; eight grandchildren: J.R. Chambers and his wife, Jamie, Krista Cox and her husband, Greg, Michael Kumbera and his wife, Megan, Justin Presley and his wife, Nicole, Shane Presley, Jacob Kumbera, Miranda Presley and Lincoln Presley; and nine great-grandchildren: Ariel Piechoinski, Noah Chambers, Sabrina Huddelston, Mason Chambers, Damien Presley, Destini Presley, Jayden Kumbera, Londyn Presley and Parker Cox. Mike also leaves one sister, Anna June “Tug” Hecker and her husband, Fred, of McAllen, TX; one sister-in-law, Edith Kathleen “Kaye” Montique of La Marida, CA; two brothers-in-law: John David Brown and his wife, Barbara and Roger Brown, all of Sunland, CA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
