Obituary of Delores Emma Jean Burkamp

Graveside Services for Delores Emma Jean Burkamp of Winfield, MO will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Burkamp, Bobby White, Michael Burkamp, Curtis Loesing, DJ Jones and Dave Zahriski. Mrs. Burkamp, 89, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 28, 2016 at her home near Moscow Mills, MO. Born December 28, 1926 in Florissant, MO, she was the daughter of Fred and Lena Frueh Gronemeier. During World War II, Delores worked in the Ordinance Depot. She was united in marriage on September 8, 1945 in St. Louis County, MO to Frank John Burkamp. This union was blessed with two children: Pam and Kevin. Delores worked for Rexall Drug. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Florissant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lena Gronemeier; one infant sister, Norma Jean Gronemeier, her granddaughter, Melissa White, on April 3, 1999; her son-in-law, Bob White, on August 27, 2016; and her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank Burkamp, on December 1, 2001. Survivors include her children: Pam White of Moscow Mills and Kevin Burkamp of St. Peters, MO; three grandchildren: Robert White, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Troy, MO, Michael Burkamp and his wife, Melissa, of St. Peters and Danyail Farrar of St. Ann, MO; and 6 great-grandchildren. Delores also leaves her sister, Lavern Loesing of Elsberry, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of graveside services at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
