Obituary of Ellen Vestine Creech

Funeral Services for Ellen Vestine Creech of Troy, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Steve Brown and Rev. Brian Ninedorf will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Ms. Creech, 48, passed away Friday morning, September 16, 2016 at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy. Born April 18, 1968 in Troy, she was the daughter of Charles Leroy and Janet Fay Presley Creech. Ellen has lived in a group home since 1991 to assist with her disabilities. She attended Booneslick State School. Later, she worked as a laborer for Community Opportunities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Janet Creech; and her brother, Duaine Creech. Survivors include her sister, Janie Cody and her husband, Richard, of New London, MO; five nieces, three nephews; and other relatives. Ellen also leaves her special friends and everyone at Community Opportunities. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
