Obituary of Doris June Fluesmeier

Funeral Services for Doris June Fluesmeier of St. Charles, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Christview Christian Church in St. Charles. Rev. Phillip Perrey, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Fluesmeier, Lloyd Akers, Ronnie Akers, Nick Erbe, Bill Riddle and Heath Young. Mrs. Fluesmeier, 80, passed away Friday afternoon, July 1, 2016 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Born January 29, 1936 in Malden, MO, she was the daughter of William and Bonnie Wright Riddle. She was a 1954 graduate of Malden High School. Doris was united in marriage on March 16, 1956 in Malden, MO to John Lowery “Jack” Fluesmeier. Their home was blessed with one son, Rick. She was a member of Christview Christian Church in St. Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bonnie Riddle; three brothers: Richard Riddle, Eldon “Smokey” Riddle and William “Toby” Riddle; three sisters: Pauline Patterson, Linda Karlish and Betty Moore; her son, Rick Reed, who died July 18, 2006; and her beloved husband of 59 years, Jack Fluesmeier, who died November 16, 2015. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Claudia Reed of Troy, MO; five grandchildren, including Josh Reed and his wife, Laura, of St. Charles; nine great-grandchildren, including Dakota Reed; and one great, great-grandchild. Doris also leaves two sisters-in-law: Patricia Nan Koch of St. Peters, MO and Mary Barnes and her husband, Claude, of St. Charles; one brother-in-law, Don Akers of Belgrade, MO; several generations of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Christview Christian Church.
