Obituary of Henry Joseph Diederich

A Mass of Christian Burial for Henry Joseph Diederich of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Father Rich Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Turnbull, Brian Wehde, Wayne Wehde, Rich Herman, Donnie Burkemper and Paul Burkemper; and honorary pallbearers, Dave Debrect and Larry Woods. Mr. Diederich, 71, passed away Saturday morning, April 9, 2016 at his home near Winfield. Born December 4, 1944, on the family farm near Winfield, he was the son of Alfred W. “Fritz” and Dolores “Cotton” Wehde Diederich. He was a 1963 graduate of Winfield High School. He was married to Phyllis Kay Elston Diederich for 24 years. This union was blessed with three children: Matt, Scott and Susan. Henry was self-employed hauling milk for 30 years and was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred “Fritz” and Dolores “Cotton” Diederich. Survivors include his children: Matt Diederich and his wife, Lisa of Marble Hill, MO, Scott Diederich and his wife, Stacey, of Winfield, and Susan White and her husband, Bobby, of Troy, MO; six grandchildren: Maggie Diederich, Dale Diederich, Rachel Diederich, Sophia White, Luke White and Teah White; and two great-grandchildren: Katie Hulvey and Hartley Olivas. He also leaves several cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield; and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church until time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and the Immaculate Conception Building Fund in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
