Obituary of Ann Kathryn Ogden

Funeral Services for Ann Kathryn Ruth Ogden of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Fr. Charles Tichacek, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Mrs. Ogden, 81, passed away early Friday morning, October 2, 2015 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born February 14, 1934 Poplar Bluff, MO, she was the daughter of Herman and Frances Knoppe Branhof. She was a graduate of Beaumont High School in St. Louis, MO. Ann Kathryn was united in marriage to Donald Goerke. This union was blessed with three children: Donald, Linda and Tricia. She was later married in 1977 in Las Vegas, NV to August Ruth. Ann Kathryn worked as an office manager for Western Anesthesiology at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. She was married again in Las Vegas on July 31, 2002 to Ernest H. Ogden. Ann Kathryn was a member of the Clarksville Garden Club. She liked to sew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Frances Branhof; and her second husband, August Ruth, who died in 1992. Survivors include her beloved husband of 13 years, Ernest Ogden of Elsberry; her children: Donald Goerke and his wife, Dawnise, of Troy, MO, Linda Goerke and Tricia Goerke, both of St. Louis; one granddaughter, Abby Goerke; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
