Obituary of Stevie Gene Cremeens

Stevie Gene Cremeens A Memorial Service for Stevie Gene Cremeens of Foley, MO will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, will officiate with a private inurnment in Asbury Cemetery near Foley. Mr. Cremeens, 57, passed away Friday night, July 10, 2015 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born September 28, 1957 in Troy, MO, he was the son of Roland A. and Myrl Ina Jackson Cremeens. A lifelong resident of the Foley area, he was a 1975 graduate of Winfield High School. He was employed for many years as a dispatcher for the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department in Troy. He drove a bulldozer for Miller Bulldozing for several years and was actively involved in the cleanup of Foley and Winfield following the Flood of 1993. Stevie was a member and past-Master of New Salem Masonic Lodge #270, AF&AM which is now the Lincoln County Masonic Lodge #682, AF&AM in Winfield. Under dual-membership, he was a past-Master of New Hope Masonic Lodge#199 in Elsberry, MO. Stevie was a longtime member of the Winfield/Foley Fire Protection District. He was an officer for the Lincoln County Rescue Squad until it was absorbed by other fire departments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Myrl Cremeens; and two half brothers: Edward Miller and William "Bill" Cremeens; and a sister-in-law: Janice Miller. Survivors include four half brothers: Thomas Miller and his wife, Pam, of Winfield, John Miller of Foley, Douglas Cremeens, and his wife Sandy, of Florissant, MO, and Richard Cremeens and his wife, Evelyn, of St. Charles, MO; and his sister-in-law, Lora Miller of Centerville, MO. He also leaves several cousins, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
