Obituary of Wilford Jay Dyke

Wilford Jay Dyke A visitation for Wilford Jay Dyke of Winfield, MO will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Salem Cemetery in Udell, IA. Rev. Gary Sheppard of Ottumwa, IA will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Dyke, Steven Dyke, Tucker Dyke, Kurtis Prinster, Gabriel Prinster, Arch Prinster, Keegan Dyke, Brantly Dyke and Gannon Dyke. Mr. Dyke, 52, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, MO. Born March 13, 1963 in Des Moines, IA, he was the son of Wilford and Mary Sue White Dyke. He was 1981 graduate of Moulton-Udell (Iowa) High School; and earned an Associates Degree from Indian Hills Community College in Des Moines. He was employed for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic for Budrovich Construction Co. in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the IOUE Operating Engineers Union, Local #513 in St. Louis. He loved riding Harley motorcycles and taking road trips. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Dyke. Survivors include one son, John Wilford Dyke of Winfield; his mother, Mary Sue Shirley of Ottumwa, IA; two brothers: Roger Dyke and his wife, Shawn, of Udell, IA, and Rodney Dyke and his wife, Lori, of Winfield; three nieces, three nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
