Obituary of Mary Sue Sherrow

Funeral Services for Mary Sue Sherrow of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Annada Christian Church in Annada, MO. Rev. Bob Norvel, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be T.J. Sherrow, Adam Sherrow, Devin “Bubba” Sherrow, Alex Henke, Kara Sherrow and Mellanee Sherrow. Mrs. Sherrow, 68, passed away late Tuesday morning, March 31, 2015 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born December 9, 1946 in O’Fallon, MO, she was the daughter of Thomas and Bernice A. Griesenauer Ginnever. Mary graduated from St. Dominic High School and attended Mizzou for one year. She was united in marriage on June 11, 1966 in O’Fallon to Gene Albert “Sonny” Sherrow. This union was blessed with five children: Wade, Tony, Jamie, Christopher “Kip” and Angie. Mary was a loving housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Bernice Ginnever; and her beloved husband of 32 years, Sonny Sherrow, who died June 24, 1998. Survivors include one daughter, Angie Henke and her husband, Frank, of Elsberry; four sons: Wade Sherrow and his wife, Deborah, of DeSoto, MO, Tony Sherrow and his wife, Joan, of Foley, MO, Jamie Sherrow of Branson, MO and Kip Sherrow of Elsberry; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mary also leaves one sister, Connie Sebacher and her husband, Roland, of St. Charles; three brothers: Tom Ginnever and his wife, Ann, of O’Fallon, Joe Ginnever and his wife, Nancy, also of O’Fallon and Jack Ginnever (Sheryl) of Crystal City, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
