Obituary of Raymond Francis Morrow

Raymond F. Morrow, Sr. Funeral Services for Raymond Francis Morrow, Sr. of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Cheri Griggs, pastor of the Montgomery City Church of the Nazarene, and Rev. Bill Morrow of Marquand, MO, will officiate. Burial and Military Honors will be at 1:00 p.m. in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Morrow, 83, passed away Thursday morning, February 19, 2015 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis. Born December 20, 1931 in St. Louis, he was the son of William F. and Nellie Phyllis Morrow. He served his country during Korean Conflict in the U.S. Marine Corp from May 31, 1951 until he was honorably discharged on May 30, 1954. He was employed for many years as a delivery truck driver for Coca Cola Co. in St. Louis, MO. Ray was a member of the Harvester Church of the Nazarene in St. Charles, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nellie Morrow; one brother, Don Morrow. Survivors include two son:, Shawn Morrow and his special friend, Puddy, of Winfield, and Ray Morrow, Jr. of St. Peters, MO; three daughters: Cheryl Hampton and her husband, Junior, of Farmington, MO, Sheila Danhoff and her husband, Guy, of O'Fallon, MO, and Charla Spunger and her husband, Pete, also of O'Fallon; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, William "Bill" Morrow of Marquand, MO; one sister, Lois Wilson of Nashville, TN; several cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
