Obituary of James Fred Tucker

James Fred Tucker A Memorial Gathering for James Fred Tucker of O'Fallon, MO will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Mr. Tucker, 85, passed away Thursday morning, February 19, 2015 at the Lincoln County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy, MO. Born October 27, 1929 in Lepanto, AR, he was the son of James Matt and Ella Mae Young Tucker. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged as a Corporal on September 12, 1956. He was employed as a machinist at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, MO for 32 years, retiring June 30, 1989. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers – Lodge #837A in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ella Tucker; three brothers, Homer Tucker, Bob Tucker and W.C. Tucker; two sisters: Edna Massey and Lois Walker; one son, Joseph Charles Tucker; one daughter, Susan Kay Moran; one grandson, Duane Orf; and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Mayes. Survivors include two sons: Fred Tucker and his wife, Susie, of Elsberry, and Randy Tucker of Billings, MT; one daughter: Kathy Hoerlein of Charleston, NC; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He also leaves a special friend, Mitzi Huffer of O'Fallon, MO; one brother, Charles Edward Tucker and his wife, Eva Doris, of Heber Springs, AR; his sister-in-law, Katherine Tucker of Mountain Home, AR; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
